In the steam lines, water is present in two forms – firstly the condensate which can be removed using steam traps and secondly in form of moisture droplets that travel with steam at steam velocity. Steam with moisture, i.e. wet steam can lead to problems like water hammer and corrosion which in turn can damage costly equipment like flowmeters, control valves, etc.

Forbes Marshall steam line moisture separators effectively remove moisture from steam ensuring the highest dryness fraction at the outlet.
