The operating mechanism of bimetallic steam trap is a bimetallic strip which expands/contracts to control the trap opening. The rugged nature of bimetallic strip and lack of any other moving components make this trap highly suitable for high temperature and high pressure applications.
FMBM comes with an inbuilt check valve, strainer screen and an external adjustment screw for adjusting the discharge temperature of the condensate.
Size and End Connections Available
• Size: DN15 (½”), DN20(¾”) and DN25(1″)
• End Connection: Socket weld to ASME (ANSI) B 16.11, Butt weld to (ANSI) B 16.25
Variants
Utilising forged carbon steel (Class 900), this variant is optimised for conditions up to 45 bar g at 425°C.
Upgraded to a Class 1500 carbon steel body, safely managing continuous operations up to 100 bar g at 425°C.
Formed from Alloy Steel F22, these Class 1500 traps manage extremely high temperatures of up to 530°C.
The highest-tier Class 2500 traps, available in Alloy Steel F22 or F91, capable of enduring immense pressures up to 210 bar g at 525°C.
